Lucy didn’t remember the laundry she folded last Tuesday or what she made for dinner last week.

But she remembered the afternoon her son asked her to help build a cardboard rocket ship.

She almost said no—so much to do, so little time.

But something in his hopeful eyes made her sit down on the floor, scissors and tape in hand.

Together, they built a crooked, wobbly masterpiece.

He called it ā€œThe Galaxy Explorer,ā€ and she wrote his name across the side in glitter pen.

They laughed when it collapsed, cheered when it stood, and pretended to blast off toward the stars.

Moments That Stick

That night, he whispered, ā€œBest day ever, Mom.ā€

In that moment, Lucy understood: the to-do list would fade, but this memory —this laughter, this love—would last.

Creating memories wasn’t a task.

It was the magic of being present, of saying yes, of building moments that stick.

And now, here are 2 Super Ideas, 4 Super Quotes, and 7 Super Questions to ponder this week…

2 šŸŒŸ Super Ideas of the Week

🌱 1. Super Reset Week: ā€œMom Mode—Refueled, Not Refusedā€

Idea: Take one small action each day to refill your own cup. It could be a morning stretch, a solo walk, journaling for 5 minutes, or saying ā€œnoā€ to something draining.
Why: After pouring out all that love on Mother’s Day (and probably still making the cupcakes), it’s time for a mini recharge. A thriving mom is a super mom!
Bonus: Share a pic or journal entry from each day to encourage other moms in your group to reset too.

šŸŽØ 2. DIY Time Capsule with Your Child: ā€œMom & Me Memory Momentsā€

Idea: Grab a shoebox or mason jar and create a time capsule together. Include drawings, a photo, letters to your future selves, and one small item each of you loves right now.
Why: It’s a sweet, seat-friendly activity that encourages connection and reflection —plus, it makes an awesome tradition to do yearly.
Super Tip: Seal it and mark a ā€œDo Not Open Untilā€ date—like next Mother’s Day!

When will I know the difference?…(Continued from issue 27)

As I looked back on that moment in my life, I was excited and scared!

Excited because I was going to be meeting the ā€œalienā€ growing inside of me.

I called the baby, Alien, because we decided that we wanted to be surprised when the baby appeared to know the sex of the baby.

Scared because I kept having weird dreams of that movie Alien or was it Space Balls, where the creature broke through the skin of the belly of the person and started dancing on the counter, singing. I am just sharing for the laughs – I do not own or am getting paid for sharing.)

At the baby shower, I was feeling the baby kicking me in my ribs and I guess it was the Braxton Hicks but who really knows.

What am I up to now? Let’s see…

Keep stress levels low because I am pregnant but…

First, I had the morning sickness which was stressful.

Second, there was all the talk of the world coming to an end due to Y2K.

Third, I was bleeding vaginally.

Fourth, MS made me a paraplegic.

Fifth, my heart rate went above 200 beats per minute.

Sixth, my husband had to be called back to the hospital because the doctors wanted to STOP MY HEART!!!!!

Seventh, my baby could die so we could save my life!

Eighth, why am I still in the hospital?

Ninth, complications for the baby just to do a test?

Tenth, waiting for the results from that radioactive isotope test!

Eleventh, what’s in the bag?

Twelfth, Oranges and needles?

Thirteenth, Do I have diabetes too?

Fourteenth, MS confirmed?

Fifteen, MS confirmed!!! How?

Sixteen, Call Mom to help?

Seventeen, How’s the baby doing?

Eighteen, What’s this pain I keep feeling?

Nineteen, Was I kicked by a horse?

Twenty, What’s next?

Twenty-One, Can I get an epidural?

During my most recent visit to my OB-GYN they told me that I should probably call the Anesthesiologist to discuss having an epidural.

The concern was because I have MS there could be other considerations about having a needle put into my spine.

I made that call to the anesthesiologist to ask about the epidural. He was very helpful and pointed out to me that it would be completely safe, but that he couldn’t guarantee nor wish to be blamed for what MS could do to me after giving birth.

I said, ā€œThat’s fair, but I had 1 question. If I go through the pain of childbirth, could he guarantee that the child will be a well-behaved teenager?ā€

The phone line was silent. The doctor finally responded.

ā€œI have never heard that question.ā€

I said, ā€œOk, then I plan to have the epidural.ā€

These pains that I was feeling during my baby shower never seemed to subside.

The baby kept kicking me in my ribs.

But what was this new pain that kept going up and down my spine?

Back to that in the next newsletter…
